Brand packing tape with a logo roller
Add your logo along plain kraft paper tape after sealing a box. The carton supports the tape while you roll a repeating band over it. Start with uncoated paper tape and suitable ink; glossy plastic tape is not a recommended surface.
What works and what does not
Kraft paper tape
The best match. Porous paper tape takes acrylic ink exactly like kraft board does.
Gummed paper tape
Water-activated paper tape also takes the imprint cleanly once it has dried on the box.
The board around the tape
A band rolled across the tape and onto the carton ties the seal into the box visually.
Colored paper tape
Works like kraft tape. Pick a marker color with contrast and test one strip first.
Glossy plastic tape
Not recommended. The tested surfaces are kraft and paper tape, and ink beads on glossy plastic.
Why stamp tape instead of printing it?
Printed tape commits you to a design per case and a supplier lead time. Plain kraft tape is a commodity you can buy anywhere, and you stamp it after sealing the box. Changing the design later is a swapped engraved roll, not a pallet of obsolete tape.
Stamp before or after sealing?
After sealing is easiest: the tape lies flat and firm on the box, so you roll straight along it with light pressure. Stamping loose tape before applying it is fiddly and rarely worth it.

Common questions
How fast does the ink dry on tape?
On kraft and paper tape the acrylic dries to the touch in seconds, the same as on the surrounding board. Let the ink dry before stacking so it does not transfer.
Can I brand a whole roll of tape in advance?
It is easier to stamp after the tape is on the box, where the surface is flat and supported. Branding at sealing speed adds only one pass per parcel.
Does it replace printed tamper-evident tape?
No. It brands the parcel visually, but it is not a security feature. Use dedicated security tape where tamper evidence matters.
What about clear plastic tape?
Skip it. Glossy plastic is outside the tested surfaces and the imprint will not hold reliably. Kraft paper tape gives the look this tool is made for.
